सन्नी संस्कारी की तुलसी कुमारी

A boisterous Dussehra comedy from Dharma Productions, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari follows Sunny (Varun Dhawan), a jeweler's son with traditional values, and Tulsi (Janhvi Kapoor), a no-nonsense schoolteacher, who agree to pose as a couple at a wedding to make their respective exes jealous. Their elaborate fake romance spirals into genuine feelings and a tangle of four people navigating the gap between sansaar and sanity. Released October 2, 2025, it earned approximately ₹99 crore.

The soundtrack features standout tracks Bijuria (a reimagining of Ravi Pawar's 1999 hit, featuring Sonu Nigam and Asees Kaur) and Panwadi (composed by Pritam, featuring Khesari Lal Yadav), both of which became viral party anthems. Bijuria ranked #6 and Panwadi #22 on Rolling Stone India's Top 25 Bollywood Songs of 2025.

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari exemplifies the mid-budget Dharma Productions comedy refreshed for the streaming era. Its multi-composer strategy — Tanishk Bagchi, Sachet-Parampara, Guru Randhawa and Pritam — produced two genuine streaming hits: Bijuria, a reimagining of Ravi Pawar's 1999 folk hit (ranked #6 in Rolling Stone India's Top 25 Bollywood Songs of 2025), and Panwadi by Pritam (#22), both achieving viral-party-anthem status independently of the film's theatrical performance. The decision to root Bijuria in a 1999 folk original typifies Bollywood's ongoing appetite for folk-rooted remakes with contemporary production values.

Bijuria and Panwadi have proven to be the film's most durable cultural artifacts, continuing to circulate on streaming platforms and social media well beyond its theatrical run. The film's ₹99 crore collection placed it solidly in the second tier of 2025 Hindi commercial releases — a creditable performance for a Dussehra comedy with a mid-range budget. Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor's pairing received generally positive notices, though the film was regarded as a solid commercial delivery rather than a breakthrough work.
