RUUH (Reuel Benedict) is a composer, singer and songwriter, and one half of the sibling duo RUUH & JOH — sons of playback singer Vijay Benedict, the voice behind 'I Am a Disco Dancer' from Disco Dancer (1982). Before the duo's streaming-era breakout, RUUH built a career scoring documentaries for National Geographic and Discovery and creating award-winning advertising music, including Cannes Lions-recognised campaign work. With his brother JOH, he shaped a sound that blends indie-pop songwriting with retro synth textures and Urdu-Hindi lyricism, composing for Prime Video's Call Me Bae (2024) and Netflix's Mismatched Season 3 (2024), including the love track 'Gumshudah'. The duo's most prominent work is the soundtrack of Netflix's The Royals (2025), where RUUH co-composed, co-wrote and sang 'Dil Deewana' with Sukriti Kakar and 'Adayein Teri' with Neeti Mohan and Savera, with lyrics co-written alongside Smriti Bhoker.
