Paradox is the stage name of Tanishq Singh, a Delhi rapper and songwriter who became one of the breakout faces of Indian hip-hop's reality-TV era. Raised in Najafgarh in west Delhi, he was drawn to poetry and music early, and adopted the name Paradox in 2018 after spotting a book titled 'Insolvable Paradox' in a Badshah music video. He first got noticed by winning a one-minute rap contest online, then built an audience on YouTube with emotionally direct, melodic Hindi rap. His national breakthrough came on MTV Hustle 2.0 in 2022, where he competed on rapper King's squad, drew repeated praise from judge Badshah, and finished as first runner-up. Independent tracks such as 'Jaadugar', 'Pahel' and 'Rihaayi' consolidated his streaming following. Bollywood followed quickly: he wrote and performed the rap on the title track of the Vidyut Jammwal actioner Crakk (2024) alongside composer Vikram Montrose, and featured as rapper and co-writer on 'Akeli Laila' from Baaghi 4 (2025) with Payal Dev and Aditya Dev, extending Gen-Z rap's reach into mainstream Hindi film soundtracks.
