दिल ये किसका है

'Dil Ye Kiska Hai' is one of the ten Aziz Kashmiri songs of Nishani (1942), the Shorey Pictures drama of two look-alikes and mistaken identity. The score was the debut work of music director Master Amarnath; the film was produced and directed by Roop K. Shorey.

Composed by Master Amarnath in his first film, the song belongs to the melodic, harmonium-and-tabla style of the early-1940s Lahore studios. Its question-form title chimes with the film's theme of confused identity, though no documented raga or studio detail beyond the composer's debut is on record.
