What is documented is the setting the song was made in. This was a Hindi picture produced in Calcutta in 1945, at Indrapuri Productions, in the years when Bose was working outside New Theatres, the studio that had made his name; myswar's listing for the album names Columbia Records as the label the songs were issued on. Swarg Se Sundar Desh Hamara was a Hindi social drama produced in Calcutta in 1945 and directed by Debaki Bose — the New Theatres veteran who had left that studio in 1941 and by 1945 was working on his own. Wikipedia's HFGK-derived index of the year's Hindi films classes it as a Social and names three players, Biman Bannerjee, Kamal Mitra and Padma Devi; myswar and Moviebuff name two of the three and give the production house as Indrapuri Productions. No print of the film is known to survive and no synopsis appears in the standard indexes, so what the songs were written for — who sang them on screen, at what point, in what situation — is not recorded anywhere reachable.
