Another of the five Kul Kalank sides listed with a composer and a lyricist but no singer, and with no surviving recording. The title phrase — making talk from a distance — is the ordinary Hindustani way of describing people who comment on a life they are not part of and do not risk. In a film whose subject is a family's disgrace, a song naming that habit directly is likely to have sat near the centre of the story rather than at its edges, though without a print or a synopsis this cannot be confirmed.

No copy of the recording is known and no contemporary description of it survives, so the music cannot be described. The frame it was made in can: Bombay, 1945, a three-minute 78-rpm side, an ensemble of the size a studio like Sunrise Pictures used, and a composer — Allah Rakha, working as A. R. Qureshi — whose approach to film scoring came from a tabla player's instincts, keeping the rhythmic frame firm and the melodic writing plain enough to be caught immediately by an audience hearing it once in a cinema.

The idiom Roopbani uses is precise and slightly bitter. 'Baat banana' does not mean to speak; it means to construct a version of events, and adding 'door door se' places the constructor safely outside the events being constructed. Hindi has kept this phrase alive for exactly the situation the film's title announces — the moment when a household's private trouble becomes public property and is retold by people with nothing at stake. Whether the song was sung by the person being talked about or by the people doing the talking is not recorded, and the two readings would give it entirely different weight.

The film was a 1945 Sunrise Pictures release directed by Nanubhai B. Vakil, with Shanta Hublikar, Masood, Amirbai Karnataki, Shahzadi, Dulari, Majid, Pratima Devi and Wazir Mohammed Khan in the cast. Eleven songs by Allah Rakha and Roopbani were recorded for it. Neither a print of the film nor a detailed synopsis has survived, which is why entries like this one rest on the title, the credits and the documented context alone.

There is no reception history to report: the side is absent from the Saregama catalogue, no copy circulates, and no later writing refers to it.
