तजुर्बा

Tajurba (तजुर्बा) is a track by Delhi-based rapper Prabh Deep, written and performed solo and produced by Lambo Drive, Baajewala and Prabh Deep himself, mixed and mastered by Vivek Thomas. It was released via Azadi Records on 8 December 2022 as part of the deluxe expansion of Prabh Deep's acclaimed 2019 concept album Bhram — a record that examines the man-made illusions ('bhram') communities attach themselves to. The official music video, directed and edited by Anurag Sharma with Prabh Deep, was shot by Lost Films with Sanil Rajan as 1st AD and Mo Joshi as executive producer. As one of the deluxe bonus tracks (alongside 'Sukoon', 'Khayal' and 'Rishte'), Tajurba extended the Bhram era roughly three years after the original album's release, giving longtime listeners a fresh, reflective coda to one of Indian independent hip-hop's most respected concept records. A separate version featuring guest verses from rapper Raftaar was later released in March 2023 under the same title.

Produced collaboratively by Lambo Drive and Baajewala with additional production by Prabh Deep himself, Tajurba sits in the mid-tempo, bass-driven lane typical of Azadi Records' house sound — understated boom-bap-adjacent percussion under Prabh Deep's measured, low-register delivery. The vocal mix, handled by longtime collaborator Vivek Thomas, keeps Prabh Deep's voice close and conversational rather than aggressive, matching the song's reflective rather than confrontational tone.

As the title word suggests, Tajurba's lyrics draw on the language of lived experience — an Urdu-rooted vocabulary of hardship, growth and hindsight that has become a signature of Prabh Deep's writing since his debut album Class-Sikh. Coming as a deluxe-edition bonus cut to the Bhram concept, the song reads as a personal footnote to the album's larger themes of societal illusion, turning the lens inward to the rapper's own journey rather than outward to collective myth-making.

Bhram, Prabh Deep's second studio album, was originally released in 2019 to critical acclaim as a concept record exploring the illusions societies build around themselves. Roughly three years later, Azadi Records issued a deluxe edition adding several new tracks — including Tajurba, Sukoon, Khayal and Rishte — extending the album's life and giving it a fresh promotional push via new official music videos. The Tajurba video, directed by Anurag Sharma alongside Prabh Deep, was shot by Lost Films with stylists Prathiksha Shetty and Ishika Katiyar handling the visual presentation.

As a deluxe bonus track rather than a lead single, Tajurba has a modest but steady view count (over 130,000 on the official video as of research), reflecting Prabh Deep's dedicated but niche independent hip-hop fanbase rather than mainstream chart success. Its lasting significance lies in extending one of Indian hip-hop's most respected concept albums, and in a March 2023 follow-up version featuring Raftaar, which brought the track to a wider mainstream rap audience.
