गर्ल्स नाइट आउट

Girls Night Out (गर्ल्स नाइट आउट) is an upbeat party number from the 2023 Zee Music Company soundtrack of Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video, Mikhil Musale's Maddock Films mystery-drama starring Radhika Madan, Nimrat Kaur, and Bhagyashree. The track is written, composed, and performed by independent artist Mellow D alongside singer Sharvi Yadav, with programming by Ayo Shree and mix-and-master work by Hanish Taneja; it was released on the Zee Music Company YouTube channel on 30 October 2023, days after the film's own theatrical release. As a female-duet celebration of women going out and owning the night, the song sits in pointed thematic contrast with the film's central plot — in which schoolteacher Sajini Shinde's life is upended precisely because a video of her dancing at a nightclub becomes public — giving the soundtrack an ironic, knowing energy alongside its function as a straightforward party single.

Mellow D wrote, composed, and produced Girls Night Out largely single-handedly, with Ayo Shree's programming and Hanish Taneja's mix-and-master work giving the track its polished, club-ready pop-electronic finish. Performed as a duet with Sharvi Yadav, the song is built for high-energy, danceable playback — short, hook-driven, and structured around the repeated title phrase rather than an elaborate verse-chorus arrangement, in keeping with its role as a standalone party single on the soundtrack.

The lyric, penned by Mellow D, works with plain, direct English-Hindi mixed phrasing built almost entirely around its title hook — a straightforward assertion of women taking a night for themselves. Its simplicity is part of the point: rather than a nuanced narrative, it functions as a chantable party mantra, gaining its edge from context rather than wordplay — the film around it turns exactly this kind of carefree night into a source of public shame for its heroine.

Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video (2023) follows Pune schoolteacher Sajini Shinde (Radhika Madan), whose life falls apart after a video of her dancing at a Singapore nightclub is leaked to her school's WhatsApp group, costing her job and her family's trust before she disappears, prompting a police investigation led by Inspector Bela Barot (Nimrat Kaur). Girls Night Out, released four days after the film's 27 October 2023 theatrical debut, functions as a soundtrack piece rather than a scene directly tied to the plot's central video, but its title and theme sit in unmistakable dialogue with the story's premise — a fictional cautionary tale about a night out, paired with a real song celebrating exactly that freedom.

Girls Night Out has not registered on major national charts and remains a modest, soundtrack-only release, its official Zee Music Company video drawing tens of thousands rather than millions of views. Its chief interest lies less in commercial performance than in its place within Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video's soundtrack strategy of pairing several newer, independent singer-songwriter-producers (Mellow D, Shruti Dhasmana, SlowCheeta and others) with a film built around themes of public judgment and viral shaming.
