Dikshant is a Mumbai-based singer-songwriter who writes and performs in Hindi, Marathi and English, part of the wave of independent Indian artists who built their audiences online in the early 2020s. His breakthrough came in 2022 with the wedding-themed romantic single 'Aankhon Se Batana', released in association with Sony Music. Co-written with his longtime collaborator Yash Jadhav, the song imagined the unspoken conversation between a bride and groom, topped Spotify India's Viral 50 chart and earned him an artist-of-the-month spot on Spotify's Fresh Finds. He first performed it live while opening for indie star Anuv Jain in Mumbai, and it has remained a staple of his shows. Follow-up singles such as 'Saajan' consolidated his gentle, romantic style. In 2025 he released Aakhri Baat, a four-track EP — 'Aakhri Baat', 'Intezaar', 'Ae Dil' and 'Qareeb' — made over roughly eighteen months with producer Nabeel Zubair. Built on acoustic textures and live-recorded violins, the EP marked a turn from his earlier uplifting material toward heartbreak and vulnerability. His fans call themselves 'Humrahis' — fellow travellers.
