द रैबिट हाउस

A mystery thriller set against a Rajasthani rural backdrop. When a series of strange events unfolds around a seemingly ordinary house — known locally as the Rabbit House — an investigator begins to unravel a web of secrets buried in community memory, folk tradition and suppressed violence. The film uses Rajasthani folk music as a structural and atmospheric device, integrating music into the narrative fabric rather than using it as decoration. Director Vaibhav Kulkarni drew from Marathi storytelling traditions for this Hindi-language thriller. IMDB rating: 7.5. Label: Geetai Productions. Theatrical release: 3 January 2025.

Four songs composed, written and largely sung by Padmanabh Gaikwad. Uses authentic Rajasthani folk instruments — sarangi, morchang, khartaal, dholak. Papon and Aanandi Joshi guest on one song each. Three versions of the signature song 'Teri Banga Ri' appear on the Spotify album.

Vaibhav Kulkarni's Hindi-language thriller is musically significant for its unusually committed integration of Rajasthani folk instruments — morchang, khartaal, sarangi, dholak — as structural storytelling devices rather than atmospheric decoration. Padmanabh Gaikwad's four-song score, with guest appearances by Papon and Aanandi Joshi, creates a folk-inflected sonic identity rarely attempted in mainstream Hindi thriller cinema.

Released January 3, 2025, to a limited theatrical run, The Rabbit House earned an IMDb rating of 7.5 — strong for a niche thriller — suggesting solid audience approval. The folk-roots soundtrack gave it post-theatrical OTT traction and it is among the more musically distinctive small Hindi thrillers of 2025.
