रोया ना

Roya Na is a quietly devastating track from Haunted 3D: Echoes of the Past (2026) in which composer Puneet Dixit serves as both composer and vocalist — a dual role that gives the song an unusually direct emotional quality. With lyrics by Sandeep Singh Sardara and released by Saregama on 12 June 2026, the song — whose title means 'Didn't Cry' — explores the particular pain of suppressed grief. The YouTube release with actor Mimoh Chakraborty and Chetna in the video confirms its place as a key romantic track.

Puneet Dixit creates a bare piano-led arrangement for himself, which suits the song's emotional concept of quiet suppression. The vocal performance is controlled and restrained — no falsettos, no dramatic runs — which makes the emotional impact more powerful than a showy performance would.

The denial 'roya na' (I didn't cry) as a song title is a masterstroke of emotional irony — the entire song is, of course, an act of crying. Sardara's lyrics build on this contradiction, cataloguing everything the singer refuses to admit is causing grief.

Puneet Dixit is among the music directors on Haunted 3D; his own performance of Roya Na was featured prominently in the film's pre-release promotional campaign, with the official video released on the film's production house YouTube channel well ahead of the June 12 opening.

In the tradition of Bhatt-camp horror films using romantic songs as emotional counterweights to the horror content, Roya Na fulfils this role effectively — tender enough to be replayed long after the ghost story fades from memory.
