Taqdeer Se Taqraa (तक़दीर से टकरा, "Clash With Destiny") is one of the promotional tracks from Ghoomer (2023), R. Balki's sports drama about a young batting prodigy, Anina (Saiyami Kher), who loses her right hand in an accident and is trained by a washed-up, alcoholic former cricketer, Paddy (Abhishek Bachchan), to reinvent herself as a spin bowler. Composed by Amit Trivedi with lyrics by Swanand Kirkire and sung by Mika Singh, the track is an anthemic, rock-inflected number built to underscore the film's themes of defiance and reinvention against long odds. It was released by Zee Music Company as part of the film's promotional rollout ahead of the movie's 18 August 2023 theatrical release, alongside the film's title track and other original compositions by Trivedi.

Amit Trivedi gives Taqdeer Se Taqraa a driving, guitar-forward rock arrangement quite different from the tender, classically-rooted title track he also composed for Ghoomer — a deliberate contrast that lets the soundtrack cover both the film's introspective and defiant registers. Mika Singh's raspy, high-energy delivery, a signature of his work on motivational and celebratory Bollywood numbers, is well suited to the song's anthemic build, with the chorus repeating the title phrase as a rallying hook.

Swanand Kirkire's lyric frames destiny not as something to be accepted but confronted — the verb 'takrana' (to clash, to collide) casts the protagonist's struggle in physically forceful terms, echoing the film's own central metaphor of a bowler inventing a wholly new action to overcome a physical disability. The Urdu-rooted vocabulary ('taqdeer') sits comfortably in the tradition of Hindi film lyrics that dramatize personal struggle as a confrontation with fate itself.

Ghoomer, written and directed by R. Balki, tells the story of Anina, a promising young cricketer whose right hand is amputated after an accident just as she is on the cusp of playing for India. Paddy, a failed and alcoholic former cricketer played by Abhishek Bachchan, takes her on and helps her invent an entirely new bowling technique — dubbed 'ghoomer' — with the goal of getting her back into the game as a bowler rather than a batter. The film, inspired in part by the life of Hungarian Olympic shooter Károly Takács, premiered as the opening film of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne on 12 August 2023 before its theatrical release on 18 August 2023, and earned three nominations at the 69th Filmfare Awards, including Best Actor (Critics) for Bachchan.

Taqdeer Se Taqraa did not achieve the mainstream chart presence of Ghoomer's title track, but it remains part of a soundtrack that critics praised as one of Amit Trivedi's more textured, film-specific scores in recent years, tonally matched to a story about disability, sport, and reinvention. The song's YouTube video has drawn several hundred thousand views on Zee Music Company's official channel, modest by chart-topping standards but consistent with Ghoomer's overall moderate commercial performance despite critical acclaim for its lead performances.
