सुनो ब्रज की एक कहानी

“Suno Brij Ki Ek Kahani” is one of the songs from Thokar (1939), the Ranjit Movietone social picture directed by A. R. Kardar and produced by Chandulal Shah. The music is by Gyan Dutt and the lyrics are by Pyare Lal Santoshi. As the title suggests, it draws on a tale of Brij (the Krishna country). The playback singer of this particular number is not reliably documented in surviving records.

“Suno Brij Ki Ek Kahani” was composed by Gyan Dutt for the 1939 Ranjit Movietone film Thokar, whose songs were performed largely by the film's own actor-singers of the early sound era.

The words of “Suno Brij Ki Ek Kahani” were written by Pyare Lal Santoshi, the lyricist for the entire Thokar score.
