He was working simultaneously for Pancholi in Lahore and for Bombay producers; Kaise Kahoon is one of several scores he delivered that year. No recording of this particular track is in circulation, so nothing further about its music is asserted here.

The conceit is one of the durable ones in Hindi film writing: not 'sing my song' but 'become my song' — the beloved asked to turn into the thing the speaker makes rather than the thing the speaker looks at. It sets love and composition side by side, which in a film song is a small piece of self-reference, and it is a natural fit for a picture whose title, Kaise Kahoon, is itself about the difficulty of saying something. Moti B.A. wrote more of this soundtrack than anyone else; almost nothing else about him is on record. No lyric text is reproduced here.

Kaise Kahoon was directed by Moti B. Gidwani for Pancholi Art Pictures, Lahore, and released on 16 November 1945. Pancholi Art Pictures was, in Wikipedia's description, the largest film studio in Lahore at the time of Partition, and its filmography includes Khazanchi (1941), Khandan (1942), Zamindar (1942) and Daasi (1944). The film is not in circulation today and the placement of this song within it is unrecorded.

Like most of what came out of Lahore in the two years before Partition, this song survives only as a line in a register. Partition forced the studio's owner out of Lahore to Bombay in 1947, and its composer died the same year at thirty-five. What is recoverable is the credit; the record itself has not surfaced.
