Based on Satyajit Ray's short story 'Golpo Boliye Tarini Khuro', The Storyteller follows Tarini Bandopadhyay (Paresh Rawal), a gifted storyteller from Kolkata who has drifted through numerous odd jobs. Directed by Ananth Narayan Mahadevan and released on Disney+ Hotstar on January 28, 2025, the film is an intimate character study — a meditation on the power of narrative and imagination in ordinary life. The film was produced by Jyoti Deshpande under A Purpose Entertainment.

The Storyteller features two songs composed by Hriju Roy, both in Bengali rather than Hindi: O Byathar Dol Judhe Tora (sung by Jojo Nathaniel, lyrics by Manjusree Roy Chowdhury, 1:43 min) and Bhalo Joner Dukho Chirokal (sung by Hriju Roy, lyrics by Tanmoy Biswas, 2:58 min).
