लुक्खे

An eight-episode crime thriller set against the drug lord and rap star underworld of Chandigarh. Two competing MCs — Badnaam (played by King) and OG — whose feud weaves together revenge, ambition, and coming-of-age themes. King makes his acting debut in this Prime Video original.

The 14-track (8 census-catalogued) Lukkhe Original Series Soundtrack released April 29, 2026 via Warner Music India presents a deliberate 'polarity' — alternating between King's aggressive hip-hop and OAFF-Savera's tender indie ballads. The album was produced by Music Supervisor Mohan Nerkar.

Lukkhe is a landmark in the intersection of Hindi music and streaming television: rapper-singer King (whose 2020 track 'Tu Aashiqui' redefined indie-pop in Hindi music) makes his acting debut in a role drawn directly from his music-world persona, while the 14-track Warner Music India soundtrack — alternating between King's aggressive hip-hop and OAFF-Savera's tender indie ballads — represents the most ambitious music investment in an Indian crime streaming series. The show's Chandigarh setting and its authentic portrayal of the rap-underground-drug nexus give it a regional cultural specificity that the Indian crime streaming genre has rarely achieved for Punjab.

Released on Prime Video on 7 May 2026, Lukkhe generated significant pre-release interest given King's music fan base, and the soundtrack received strong reviews from Indian music press including Rolling Stone India. At the time of writing, the show's reception arc is still forming. Whether Lukkhe establishes King as an acting presence or remains primarily valued as a music vehicle is a question the coming months will answer. Its 14-track album for an 8-episode series is already being cited as a new standard for OTT streaming series music investment in India.
