Synopsisइमरजेंसी 2025 की एक भारतीय जीवनी-नाटक फ़िल्म है, जिसका निर्देशन कंगना रनौत ने किया है और वे स्वयं पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गाँधी की भूमिका में हैं। फ़िल्म इंदिरा गाँधी के भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस में उदय, 1971 के भारत-पाकिस्तान युद्ध और बांग्लादेश मुक्ति संग्राम में उनके निर्णायक नेतृत्व, और 1975–1977 के विवादास्पद आपातकाल को दर्शाती है जब उन्होंने नागरिक स्वतंत्रताओं को निलंबित करके फ़रमान से शासन किया। आख्यान में उनके पुत्र संजय गाँधी का बढ़ता राजनीतिक प्रभाव, बलात् नसबंदी कार्यक्रम, विपक्षी नेताओं की गिरफ़्तारी, और 31 अक्टूबर 1984 को उनकी हत्या भी शामिल है।

Emergency is a 2025 Indian biographical drama directed by and starring Kangana Ranaut as former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film chronicles Gandhi's rise through the Indian National Congress, her decisive leadership during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan War and Bangladesh Liberation War, and the controversial 1975–1977 Emergency period when she suspended civil liberties and ruled by decree. The narrative also depicts her son Sanjay Gandhi's growing political influence, the forced sterilisation programme, the arrest of opposition leaders, and the eventual return of democracy — culminating in her assassination on 31 October 1984. Based on a screenplay by Ritesh Shah, the film was shot with French cinematographer Tetsuo Nagata.

Emergency's five-song soundtrack was released by Zee Music Company on 31 August 2024 — five months before the film's theatrical premiere on 17 January 2025. Music is by G.V. Prakash Kumar and Arko Pravo Mukherjee, with all lyrics by Manoj Muntashir. The album is dominated by patriotic anthems and political invocations, most notably 'Singhasan Khali Karo' which draws from Ramdhari Singh Dinkar's famous verse. The background score was composed by Sanchit and Ankit Balhara.
