क्रिंतन सितार और सरोद वादन की एक विशिष्ट तकनीक है जिसमें बाएं हाथ की उंगली से तार को खींचकर (पुल करके) स्वर उत्पन्न किया जाता है, बिना दाएं हाथ के मिज़राब का उपयोग किए। यह एक 'हैमर-ऑन' और 'पुल-ऑफ' तकनीक है। क्रिंतन से एक अनूठी, मृदु और गूँजती ध्वनि उत्पन्न होती है जो मिज़राब से भिन्न होती है।
