Rang Ishq Ka (रंग इश्क़ का) is the lone soft-romantic ballad on the otherwise high-octane Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (2024) soundtrack — sung and composed by Vishal Mishra with lyrics by Irshad Kamil, and released by Zee Music Company. In a film built around Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff's action set-pieces, this track is the emotional breather: a melody-first love song whose hook, 'chadha de rang ishq ka,' pleads to be coloured over completely in the hue of love. It is the fourth of Vishal Mishra's four compositions for the album, and the film's video also spotlights the younger leads Manushi Chhillar and Alaya F. Elsewhere the writing leans on devotional-style vows of belonging — the promise to live on in the beloved's heart, to keep beating within it. It is the poetics of complete self-effacement in love, dressed in the clean, singable Hindustani that Kamil, one of Hindi cinema's most decorated lyricists, is known for.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (2024) is a big-budget action film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in the title roles, with Manushi Chhillar and Alaya F as the female leads. Released theatrically on 11 April 2024 to coincide with Eid, the film is built around large-scale action, and its soundtrack — all composed by Vishal Mishra for Zee Music Company — is dominated by high-energy numbers: the title track, 'Mast Malang Jhoom' and 'Wallah Habibi.' Rang Ishq Ka is the album's romantic counterweight, the soft love song that gives the film's younger pair its melodic moment. The song's Zee Music video was released on 12 April 2024, a day after the film's release, with a separate lyrical video following on 3 May 2024.

Rang Ishq Ka completes Vishal Mishra's four-song soundtrack for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, standing as its designated romantic melody amid an album otherwise engineered for action-film energy. While the film's louder tracks drew the bigger view counts, Rang Ishq Ka carved out the album's tender space and was notably given a second life through a 'Redux' version sung by Neha Bhasin over the same composition — a companion release that reframes Mishra's tune in a female voice.
